Availability

We will ship the final version when it's ready. We are currently aiming for an October release, but this could change.

 

What's still missing?

The current beta version is missing a few features that will be available in the final release:

  • Working with existing projects: The beta version still lacks the ability to create a new project by pointing at an existing NHibernate project. This capability is coming soon, but presently Visual NHibernate acts like a standard code-generator, so you need to devise a strategy to work with generated code.
  • Seamless code insertions into existing code: The final version of Visual NHibernate will weave new required new code into your existing codebase with minimal impact on the existing code. This means you are free to modify any code you wish, and Visual NHibernate will tip-toe around your code making required changes where appropriate, to ensure that your wishes as specified in Visual NHibernate are implemented in your code.
